Common errors

Non-HH:MM format

Use 24-hour HH:MM.

Fix: Convert 12-hour times first or pad minutes with zero.

Overnight shifts

End time before start wraps past midnight.

Fix: That's the default — 23:00-01:00 counts as 2 hours.
